For our government to work effectively, it is important to maintain consistent and open communication with our legislators. Increasing access to our legislators helps them better understand our needs and respond efficiently.
This year's Federal Legislative Luncheon, held at Valley Plaza Resort on April 11, provided a venue for participants to listen to U.S. Representative Dave Camp, along with Heritage Foundation Senior Research Fellow Ed Haislmaier and MidMichigan Health President and CEO Terry Moore, as they presented a focused discussion on the state of Michigan's healthcare and what can be done to improve the system. Although the discussion was serious, the tone was light, and participants' enthusiasm with the speakers showed over the course of the event. Compelling discussion from the panelists was followed by thoughtful questions from the audience. The event was a great success.
Midland Tomorrow was proud to co-host the Luncheon with the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce. Many thanks go to our panelists for their generous donation of time and talent, as well as to Valley Plaza Resort for their exceptional service.
